Emma Rose Carson

PROFESSIONAL

Emma Rose Carson is the Artistic Director and founder of MAPA, and a dance teacher and performer. A Merit Scholar at the University of Iowa, she graduated with a degree in Dance and minors in Theater and French. She previously served as Head Ballet Instructor at National Dance Academy and has guest taught at studios including Steps on Broadway, 92nd Street Y, Lou Conte Dance Studio, Taos Youth Ballet, and Dance Star Malibu.

TRAINED

Emma completed a yearlong intensive ballet training program at Conservatory Pau-Béarn-Pyrénées in France. She danced professionally in the Opera Festival of the Aegean in Greece and with Zenith Theatre in France. Following her time in Europe, she danced with modern and ballet companies in New York City.

Emma believes in the power of theatre and dance to promote healing, innovation and compassion.

Emma is a UCLA-trained Social Emotional Arts (SEA) Facilitator, having completed the Certificate Program in Social Emotional Arts through UCLArts & Healing in 2021.
